In a celebration of my very amateur welding :) and design (and a very dusty engine bay... please ignore the block and bay, it will be spotless and look very different, very shortly..)

Haven't bolted it to the inner fenders yet. There is also another bolt hole at the center point, above the one you can see in the pic. Bottom one existed in the bay - I drilled a second one.

Looks nice and should get rid of a lot of flex. Did your car already have those two bars going to the inner fenders?

ThanksĀ  ...no bars there -- just did it up from looking at a '73 bay and the XV brace. ...small look of fear when I realized I had neglected the imaginary clearance point for the new intake, carb and multiple cleaner combos. There might still be some interference with tension spring paths, but I figure I can bend up a different bracket to solve that one - hopefully everything will drop into place fine though. Does seem to get rid of some flex even through the hi-tech lean, heave, pull, push shop test :icon_smile_big:

Gonna just finish up the paint, haul it out and have at the rest of the mess under there :)

Nice Job Plum.  I am thinking of doing something along the same lines as those.   Show us some pictures when you get everything painted and put together so we can see it all together.
