As for rare Mopars that I personally have seen, one in particular comes to mind:  It is an all black 1963 Plymouth Fury Super Stock Max Wedge (I think it is a 413, but it could be a 426, I am not familar as much with those years of Mopars).  Either way, it was a high compression racing car (warning sticker on inside door frame).  It had around 15,000 orginal miles and everything was complete (Corning glass, aluminum sheet metal) when I got to see it.  The owner had two of them for racing back in the day, but only used this one for a backup car.  The other one (the red one he raced, only saw pics of that one) was wrecked at one time, then sold to some other racer many years ago.  The last time I viewed it was ten years ago, but I am sure it is still there (The owner knows what he has and is not interested in selling or even showing the car.  When I viewed it, the plates on it were from the early 70s).  The car is started up every once in a while to keep the engine free, but it has not seen the road since it was last parked........

Not a car but a  engine that chrysler sent to a company in Endland, i think it was a 440 that had a Hemi crank & there was something special about the heads, if anyones interested i'll find out more about the engine.

C code 1970 charger 500 slant 6 3 on the tree R4 red with white interior export car.

Hmmm...Since R4 was not a color in 1970, I would say that is a 1 of none.

Send me some info on that car if you don't mind. I know of a /6 Charger, 3spd on the column, red with black interior and an export.

I know of a 70 Charger RT Sublime green, 440 magnum 4speed Dana 60 rear with fender scoops. Not sure of the other options. It needs restoration. Same owner since late 70's. I could have had it for $7500 six years ago  :brickwall:.

My "Dad" owns a 1962 Plymouth Fury 413 Max Wedge Convertable. Only two known left in existence. As a side note, he was at Carlise this year with his hardtop white 62 Fury and won the Mopar Muscle Magazine award, and they did a 400 picture photo shoot.

My uncle owns a 1966 Plymouth Hemi Satellite Convertable. It was used in several Chrysler ads. It is all original down to the tires. He also owns a 1966 Belvedere with a Race Hemi and 4spd. It also has the aluminum front end. This car has less then 1000 miles on it. He owns several other rare cars, all of which he is the original owner.

Rarest Mopar hmmmmmm,,

Depeds on what years your talking about.

If you wanna talk low production numbers even some of  the newer cars are pretty rare if you break them down by color. 1992 IROC R/T Daytona's I believe there were 8 in Electric blue. 1991 Spirit R/T I believe there was something like 7-8 of them in Gold. 1987 Shelby GLHS 1 made that wasn't black.

Older cars well there are all sorts that are pretty much 1 off's. Of the 1970 Chargers I like the 1970 Charger 500 with the 426 HEMI, but then again I like the 1970 Charger HEMI R/T with the power sunroof as well (I believe there were 2-3 of these). What about the Plymouth Savage, anyone have a picture of it? Of the multiple HEMI E-body convertibles, I don't think that any of them are identical, so they are all 1 of 1.

of the 1969 Charger 500's, there were 4 cars used for press release work. Of those though only 1 that I know of was an AT. Then I know of 1 HEMI 500 that was sold at Grand Spaulding Dodge.

Sorry. It was FE5. I owned the car for about a month. Last I knew it is now in Pocatello Idaho. It was red with white. The rear was so rusted out, it was sad. Thats all the info I can give you. Sorry. It was like 6 years ago that I had it.

the plymouth cricket
wow...i remeber having a shop and working on a customers cricket....back around late 1970's...mostly minor maintenance...till it spun a main bearing....he wanted to fix it cheaply, just enough to use it for a little while then junk it...we dropped the pan, pulled the bearing cap....the bearing was totally gone....and the crank was scratched....we sanded the crank surface, in place, and ordered a new bearing. They were not available. we fashioned one out of a piece of a coke can, rolled around the crank a few times....it held for about 2,000 miles, quietly knocking away, till the tranny  (automatic) went and the heap got junked.

haven't seen one since.

Man, does that one have a black vinyl top by chance?  If it does, it is a copy of my base model......
