No power to starter relay

I posted about this before, and figured it out with the old harness, but now this is the deal: I completely rewired my 74 and all the lights and everything work fine.  I just installed the new engine harness and some plugs and terminals DO have power when the ignition is on, but I can't get power to the starter relay plug.  I traced power under the dash and there IS power all the way to the terminal on the fuse block when I turn the key to "start" but there's none in the engine bay.  The connection is fine, I've checked and rechecked it, and like I said, the fuse block and all wiring is brand new.  There are 2 wires going to the starter relay plug, both yellow.  One goes to the ign. and one goes into the dash harness, I believe to the plugs that went to seatbelt safety stuff.  I don't have any of the safety mechanisms thanks to the previous owner so I tried removing the wire terminal that wasn't getting power, thinking it was grounded out unless it was hooked up, and still no dice.  does anyone have any ideas? I'm totally stumped.

In a system without the seatbelt interlock the yellow wire is power from the ign. switch when it's in the Start position, this wire goes to the spade terminal on the relay marked "I", the wire (usually brown) on the spade terminal next to it marked "G" goes to the center pin on the NSS.

The seatbelt interlock interrupted the power to the yellow wire if the belts weren't fastened. With the control box in place you could jumper the two yellow wires at the box to override the interlock. You'll need to trace back through the wires to find where the power is interrupted and where the brown wire is.

If the engine harness is for a 4-speed carf the wire on the "G" terminal would go inside the car to the clutch switch.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

ok I think I'm just going to remove the one yellow wire from the plug itself, and I have some spare OEM bulkhead connectors, so I'm just going to make my own wire, plug it into the bulkhead, and bypass everthing and go directly to the starter relay.  I don't feel like installing a bunch of safety features that I neither need nor want anyway. Thanks for the help!

this is how the yellow wire is wired on 74s

from ign switch are being feeded directly just the interlock box and reset button.

when interlock gets the seatbelt signals fastened send the aprovement to feed the starter relay and crank trhought the traced wire.

If some fail, then the reset button can be pressed, and in that way the direct signal circuit coming from ign switch in to reset button is being closed  and will feed the starter relay.
