I'm pretty sure there was a thread on that car not long ago

I never saw it before, or heard anything about it.  Funny thing is, the car is/was only 15 mins. from me.

Picture a Daytona Clone conversion.  :scratchchin: A shorter wing, and a nose cone... well......... maybe not.  I guess the nose could cause a problem if you tilt the front end. .... :shruggy:

There were some pictures on this site afew years ago (I think) of a Charger that had been shortened like that. Hpefully it's the same car because I'd hate to see that happen twice.

dads_69

That is the worst mod of a charger ever.  :puke:
Hey, you can hate the game but don't hate the player.

If only I had found it before that guy. He probably sold it to buy a mitsubishi ricer. if you are going to do something like that, dont do it to a classic. The shaved roof looks like SHIT! :eek2: :eek2: :eek2: :eek2: :moon: :silly: :coocoo: :badidea: :badidea: :badidea: :badidea: :shortbus: :boogie: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke:

I'm amazed it finally sold , he has been trying to sell it for a couple of years now
GO SELL CRAZY SOMEWHERE ELSE WE ARE ALL STOCKED UP HERE

Kevin68N71

It's kind of got a George Barris thing going on there, but, no thanks.
Do I have the last, operational Popcar Spacemobile?

That thing's been for sale for a long time.  It was built in the 1980s or something if I recall.

I wouldn't be shocked if it just got parted out.  That's half a 1969 Charger in workable-looking components.

ACUDANUT

I don't think that car has  any usable BODY parts.  I would have paid 1,000 bucks just to get it off the streets and enter a demo-derby with it.

Exactly what I was thinking..

I am another, TO EACH HIS OWN, guy. It's a shame only if you DON'T like it. I kind of do.. I always liked the lowered Torino looking roof line and I bet he took some weight out of the car as well.  The only thing I believe he should have rethought was the low hinge location on the front clip. I think it needs to be made higher to allow the nose to tilt much closer to 90*..

That said, I would not think of doing that to a Charger, but who knows. Maybe it was 2 complete wrecks that were sort of saved...  :shruggy:  I wonder how it handles with the shorter wheel base..

Have ya priced a '69 Charger grille assembly lately, or rear window stainless trim, or taillight parts, or front buckets, or dashboard, etc?

There's plenty of parts to scavenge on that thing.

ChargerSG

Have seen that Charger before, still its just  :puke: i could use allot of parts from the car :icon_smile_big:
Looking for 383 Magnum #0B196875 and 0B115166

IowaCharger69

I like it. I think you could open up the rear wheel wells a bit more, fill them with tire. Basically make it look like this:

I think if were to paint a pock quarter window on, it would really improve the looks.

Honestly if I had my car sold I would love to buy it and save it!

Hey guys, look at it this way. It is one less complete Charger in existence. Maybe that means the Charger in your garage is worth a little more now..  :shruggy:

Any way you look at it now is just plain too late. What is done is done.. At least it wasn't jumped for a dumb movie and completely destroyed!!   :D
