My first Charger project ***Video***

Struggeling with the lower dashpads and the harness. The lower dashpads comes from another car so there is some fighting to do
to get them fit properly. Same goes for the bezels which comes from yet another car so I wonder how big tolerances those parts
had in the time. For the wiringharness I'm glad I marked the sockets on the old cableharness, makes it somewhat easier to connect
everything and it's definetly an advantage to mount everything before hanging the dash in the car, especially the harness.

Can i ask where the firewall insulation pad and clips came from. I need one of these for my car.

I bought my set, pads and clips, from The Paddock but Legendary and others have them also.

Planned to install the dash today but yesterday evening I brooke off 2 of the pigs for the speednuts on one of the dashvents.
I don't think it's very easy to mount them when the dash is installed so I guess it has to wait untill I have bought a new pair. It's a pitty
because otherwise I would have tried starting the engine on saturday.

I did the same with mine, broke a peg off one.
You can get to  them when it is all  installed in the car, you have to lay on your back with a socket and a few extensions.

I will hang the dash on the outer bolts and have wires between dash and cowl untill everything is tested OK so I hope they have
arrived by then. Then it shouldn't be any problem with reachability.

It's hanging in there Gives me plenty of room to mount the dashvents ones they arrive. Now is the time to test
all the electrical system, the start-up is coming closer and closer.

3. Pull the distributor and prime the oil pump. You just use a shaft to spin the oil pump for a while and have someone else watch the oil pressure gauge to make sure you have pressure. Also spin the motor over a little to make sure all the lifters get oiled up too

with the coil wire disconnected* 

4. check engine oil and filter AGAIN

Check fuel lines, look for loose wires that could ground out or anything touching exhaust system, be certain you have a good fire extinguisher ready, check coolant, tranny lube level, rear end lube level, power steering fluid level, emergency brake operation.......

keep a flashlight and inspection mirror handy incase you need to trace a leak.....
