will a 68 charger throttle cable work on a 66?

hi guys

my friend has a 66 charger with a 383 . he needs a throttle cable and nobody has a listing for it .  would a 68-70 cable work . Rene

Yes, sort of.  The ends are different but it can be made to work.  I had the newer style in my fastback and I can't recall now what I did to make sure the end won't come out at the throttle pedal but it can be done.  Obviously, you have to make sure that it is retained in the bracket at the pedal end.

I doubt it, I believe the 66-67 cable is longer than the 68-70 version

I know for a fact that I had the 69 cable in my 67.  I have the Lokar one setup now but priot to that it was the 68-70 one.   Yes, it was shorter but it was still long enough.
