I have a 69 charger that I will be getting repainted in the fall. The panel that surrounds the rear tail lights is currently painted the same color as the car. I have seen this panel painted black (no matter what the color of the car is) and I also have seen it painted to match the color of the car. Which one is correct and what finish is the Black. I have seen gloss, satin, and flat???

If your looking for the black paint it's Ditzler DDL9355 Laquer. It's call Organosol Black, A textured Paint. LEON.

Just 6T9 CHGR

As Leon stated, the tail panel should be black....either by using the Organasol paint or a rough coat fo semi-flat paint
