Check this out. It's been floating around the internets for a month or so.

Long story short: Guy from vwvortex forums gets his car booted at his HOA run community, puts his car up on dollies, parks it in his garage, and decides to have some fun with the parking Nazis.

Here's a link to the forum that was created to document his exploits (and recaps his original posts):

and here's a link to the now legendary original thread (it's very long, so unless you have a couple of hours, read the recap in the first link)

I just read the shorter version & have to say that I hope he wins/won.  :2thumbs:

Living in a HOA is not for me. I know why the rules are in place, but I definitely don't want people telling me what I can, or can't do. I tease a friend of mine who moved from NJ to a suburb of Phoenix. His home is in a HOA community that has crappy parking rules as well as other ridiculous ones. Sometimes he bitches about a ticket he gets, but I remind him that he should have read the rule book before buying.

He once had some landscape stone delivered & dumped in a pile so he could spread it later that weekend. Since living in 115 degree desert sun won't let him grow a lawn, he was spreading the stone around his house, but didn't rake it out fast enough & got a ticket for an unauthorized pile of crap.

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

That story is awesome, good for him. Hope it all works out for him.  :popcrn:

Yeah, from what I read elsewhere in that forum, the gag order is for a year.  :eyes:
