so I learned today to never set a new vinyl top ontop of your charger with a can a paint to keep it from blowing away. even if its not windy. I got a ruined top and a dent on my quarter. So angry right now. Atleast the dent is repairable with out paint, but Im out $170 on the top. Sorry just needed to vent

tan top

sorry to hear this Dude .. main thing is the sheet metal damage .. no need to paint

i'm thinking you layed it on the roof  to get the fold marks out , from shipping it in a small box ..... have had vinyl tops out in the sun for days ..creases would still be there ..although the vinyl was more workable when soft ...what i  do before fitting a vinyl top ..is to iron it a few times ...  on the back obviously  .. keep the iron moving quite quick ...  works every time ..then keep it flat  &  lay it in the sun for a few hours before fitting it  it . :yesnod:   do all the marking out  ..before so you can go straight to fitting it with out it cooling down too much  :Twocents:

the paint spilled, it had been sitting a while so it was separated. I got a clear liquid on the top. I rushed to clean it as fast as I could but it stained it :brickwall: I think I am just going to order another one from year one. Hopfully the dent guy will be here tomorow to fix the dent.
