Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.  Especially if they have access to the internet.

As some of you already know, we had a major problem with Shelby's car.  :RantExplode: So here are the pics I took yesterday. No pics from today. I was too busy tracking down parts, tools and finally a trailer to get her car home.  :pity:

HOLLY MOLLY!!  Someone actually did that type of scope on a 3rd Gen... I had thought about doing this same thing to mine.  Man, it looks sweet.

I did now, thanks Brock.  That's kind of cool as well.  But not something I would do.

Finn

Are you talking about that evil-green one on the first page?
I thought one of the years of the third gens had the grill covering the headlights like that, so what covers are you talking about?
(Third gen guys, please excuse the ignorance of this second gen owner, I'm trying to learn more about all charger gens)

No, you are correct, 71 and 72 had the hidden headlight option.  However, take a really good look at the driver side.  You'll see what we're talking about.

The grille covering the headlights is only the slits from the original hideaway grille. So the grille doesn't flip open the light just shines on through.

Hard to say, but kind of cool.  I have thought though that if you want to do something like that, then you should make the whole thing look like one piece, no door.  Not sure how that would look though.

How did they do that? :shruggy: :scratchchin: :P

dunno exactly but my guess is the took a set of hideaway doors and milled them out :scratchchin:

If you have no vision or creative spirit, you can always fall back on the way the factory did it.

Well according to a thread on moparts,    the green 71wingcars.com car is the former Dayclona black '71 winged Super Bee that got taken apart and put back together.

I heard about a split in the Dayclona crew but never pried into it.   I said Hi to Gary on Friday...  Pam was preoccupied (like usual).

I hadn't seen the black car out for any of the appearances at LVD or XV in the past year or so.
