Last night at cruise night this guy comes in with a Plum Crazy 73 Charger. Really nicely done. Bulge hood, 440, black interior. We start talking and I was telling him I really want a 4 speed, but the 4 speed was not offered in 73 with the 440 motor. He says, "yes it was, I have one". I said it was offered with the 400 but not the 440, are you sure your car was originally a 440? So we look at my VIN, WH23U. We go look at his VIN. WH23G, oops, not a 440 car. He looked a little disappointed.

1973 Charger Rallye, 4 speed, muscle rat. Whatever engine right now?

i wonder if he thought it was the original color too.  :rotz:

If you have no vision or creative spirit, you can always fall back on the way the factory did it.

Still a nice car though I bet, so he shouldn't be too disappointed, right. :2thumbs:

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

Yeah original big block 73-74 Chargers are the same way. Right had clearance is so tight that it is MURDER to stick plugs in a car with a big block if it has those metal wheelwells.

any bites on your car yet paul?

No bites yet. I am only advertising on here and a sign in the window at cruise nights. I really want to get a manual trans. If it doesnt sell any time soon I wont be dissapointed. I still love the car. I have been kicking around the idea of putting a manual trans in this one. Cost is around $6500 for a Keisler 5 speed kit.

My house didnt sell yet anyway. Looks like I am going to be in the frozen upper midwest another winter if a buyer dont come around soon.
