Dome light wiring

Its been so long since i've had any wiring in my cars that i've forgotten how it all goes. The question is am i missing a clip or something that holds this wiring up as it hangs down or that how it goes.

you have missed the DOME itself... socket will clip directly on dome housing

   hi Paul 

  i took a picture of what your looking for ..when i restored mine ..thinking i would forget  when i put it back togeather ... which  i did 
  the clip  that is used    where the green arrow points to ................ is the same type that holds the aerial / antenna  wire to the back of the dash  frame under the glove box .

Thanks tan top, i can see it goes between the roof & the support.
