Has anyone had any experience with either American Classic Cars in Conroe Tx or Classics cars of Houston?

I need some work doing and having just been badly burnt I am attempting to do some homework this time. I don't need anything complicated doing (some paint, electrical and minor trim) but I do need a reliable shop who will do the work (!!) and hopefully do it properly and at a reasonable price. I have been put off Mo Muscle as they can't/won't give me a rough estimate and I'm not in the position to just hope for the best (blank chequebook is on vacation &c) Hopefully this will not be impossible in my vicinity....

If you've seen my other thread you'll know that I've already had the worst, and I'd now like the above average as a minimum.  :eek2:

Thanks folks

American Classics/Distinct Automotive is doing a full restoration of my matching-#'s 4spd HEMI Charger... I've trusted them with a high dollar resto and they have experience with Mopars so I hope they can do whatever work you would need them to do... they are EXTREMELY busy right now, so if you are needing anything done in a rush, I would forget about it - but then again, who isn't backed up right now?

Craig is the owner of American Classics and Mike with Distinct Auto is the guy now running the repair/resto shop - tell them that Brandon with the HEMI Charger sent you and I'm sure they'll take good care of you...

What all are you needing performed on your car?

And after I did a little research (looking at your other posts) - it's looks like you are from jolly ole' England - well, you'll be glad to know that American Classics has at least three Brits floating around there, so you'll feel right at home in the Lone Star State!

Thank you, that sounds like a possibility then. I only need small things - painting a door, some electrical rewiring, minor trim fixes etc. Nothing to tricky or to time consuming although  it sounds like I'd better prepare myself for the long haul timescale wise. I've been trying to run away from my fellow countryman for the most part thus far, but it may be rather nice to be able to say "wings" over "fenders" just one more time..... ;D
