Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

Thank you. Am I correct in thinking that they simply go in from firewall side and are held by nuts on the MC side? Is there anything special about them?

On a non-power MC, knurled studs are pressed into the engine side of the casting and extend through the firewall with nuts on the inside of the car.

If originality is no concern and you have a helper, bolts and nuts will work OK.

Hmm

I have a '74 Dart manual MC, but it's just got holes. Oh well, I have no problem using nuts and bolts then I don't guess. Off I go!  :2thumbs:
