I have aquired a 1970 Super Bee with 70 coronet parts car, the bee still has mostly original paint, and needs very little work on the main part of the body, however it was wrecked some time ago by it's previous owner and the front end is destroyed. I will have the coronet I can pull the entire front clip off of. The Super Bee has a clear title and will most likely need front frame rails replaced.

Got any pics?  How bad is the coronet?  I vote save the bee.

American_Muscle

I won't be able to pick the car up until August due to scheduling issues with my friend, we both work different shifts and can't seem to coordinate an effort until then, hope to have it home early August, as soon as I get it home I'll take a lot of Pics for everyone to look at. The coronet is missing a few pieces, has a little more rust, but overall a fairly solid car, it's an original 318 car. the Super Bee is an original 383 car but missing the original motor as my friend has it in his other 70 bee.

Big Lebowski

Trade him a souped up 440 for the original 383 motor. He can't say no to that.
"Let me explain something to you, um i am not Mr. Lebowski, you're Mr. Lebowski. I'm the dude, so that's what you call me. That or his dudeness, or duder, or you know, el duderino if you're not into the whole brevity thing."

If saving both cars is an option, that's how I vote. BL has a good idea for the engine.

I love spending your money!

I voted Restore the Bee but I'd like to see the Coronet saved as well, but here's how I'd approach it.

Use the Coronet as a donor for the Bee project. (How's the rad support on the Bee?)
Make a deal with your friend for the original 383.

Once the Bee is done, re-assess the Coronet. If there's enough there to make it worth saving, put the reproduction parts in to the Coronet.
If you never get to the Coronet, it will have served it's purposes as far as you're concerned. If you do, you have lot's of freedom to make it what you want.

bull

Sell the Coronet for money to repair the Bee.

The frame rails, inner fenders, & I'm pretty sure the radiator support, are all available as reproduction parts. The fenders, hood, bumper, grilles, & related items, are tough to come by & would be expensive if you had to buy all of it to fix the Bee. If you're on a budget, use the Coronet for the needed Bee parts, & sell the rest to offset the cost. If money isn't an issue, then hunt down the parts & fix both.

If you can get the numbers motor, I say re-body the bee with the coronet, if not, part them both out to make a  quick buck   :D
I know... bad joke

after looking at the coronet last night it is a very very solid car, the superbee is solid but missing the entire front clip, so it's definately gonna be some work, Thanks for everyone's replies, I'm leaning hard towards a true numbers matching super bee and a coronet R/T clone ;) doing as said and taking parts of the coronet to get the bee in tip top then replacing them with repop parts later.
