 :iagree:
Mike G. made my nose to fender seals, They fit perfect. As far as I know, his are the only ones that will fit correctly. The other's on the market are molded in reverse and will never fit. The nose to hood seal is the common '70 Charger one that's available from just about everyone.
FYI...You'll need the original '70 fender seal retainers to hold the new nose to fender seals in place. Or, you could probably just make them from scratch. Thankfully, I kept mine when I disassenbled the fenders.

I have a set of the nose to fender seals from Dayclona.

I'm not going to be using them.

They are not molded, they are a cut and glued-together assembly, with visible joints/glue marks in the corners.

Nothing wrong with them, they're just not going to work for me.

They're up for grabs for what I paid for them ($175) + shipping.   :callme:

The nose to hood seal I got from year one is a nice, molded piece.

It came from Year one a few inches too long...it's a cut-to -fit deal.

hotrod98

If the nose is installed correctly, you can't tell that they're glued up. Out of curiosity, I placed my nose on the car and just slipped the seals into place. So far I like the way that they fit.
It seems to give it a clean look and from what I've seen, they fit a lot better than anything else on the market.
As far as I know, there's only one other seal out there on the market and it's the one that everyone sells.
I know that the version that Year One sells is the same one that Dales Cuda shop sells.

What seals do you plan to use?

Rene, Those bird seals will have a major kink where you bend them. Won't look too good. You might be able to take a wedge out, bend them and then glue them.
They're cheap enough to experiment with.
The daytona seals are the ones that I was talking about. They're formed in reverse. People have complained about them for years and they won't change them.

guys don't think that I'm cheeping out on my daytona . I'm just trying to get her done . and there doesn't seem to be much spare cash around lately. i can swing the $89 bucks for the ones nascarxx29  posted but almost $200 bucks for 2 small parts like this is tough.

I'm sending the hood and  fenders to get media blasted this week. plus i gotta order the front spoiler tomorrow . I've been gathering all the bodywork material  for the last couple of months . so i got that taken care of . it adds up quick . so where i can save a buck , i do . as long as it doesn't affect the quality of the car. I've been experimenting with some rubber gasket material I have here at home. So far it looks promising.

I moved the nose back to 1/2 of fender , bought a Year one hood to nose seal , and made my own Nose to fender seal out of closed cell black rubber that has a skin on one side . I cut it down to 9/16 and kind of work it in .
