What if we pony up some bucks for a new pressure regulator? That sounds cheaper than the gas mileage loss.

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

That would be great also. They are in Pa now and getting some shut eye. 160 miles to go.

the problem was WE DIDN'T FIND the replacement kit! neither the reg itself or kit are available and in fact they are DISCONTINUED.

the weird parts is... PRESSURE REG ON A CARBURATED CAR ?  :shruggy:

Just got to find at Advanced autoparts website ( what does have a relation ship with Kragen in Cali ) that there is an universal rebuilt kit THAT COULD WORK, but still not sure. Anyway we went to Kragen and they didn't have in stock so we had to fix by ourself on anyway as posible just enough to don't have leaks that was the first sympthon we found.

Then anyway still don't know what could it be the real mileage on a 454 engine mounted on a Motorhome from factory, so we don't know for sure if the problem is actually the regulator ( even still needs to be rebuilt ) or carburetor or whatever! BUT an average of 6 MPG IS RIDICULOUS IMHO.

Ponch... supposelly we will get back in Cali on 23, maybe earlier. I still have to help to Jer on remove dash and check for its 72SE wiring condition so I'll have some work to make. Don't think will get lot of time to spend, BUT I'll be on line on those days. If you can get to go to Bakersfield will be great... if not, maybe LAX airport before my departure ? my plane is schedulled to 25 at late afternoon.

Of course needless to say that we had to bypass all the visits to the ppl around, like Kansas, Des Moines, Toledo etc... since because bad mileage we had to go simply straight up from Oklahoma to Pensilvania. We tried to meet with Chriss in Indiana ( dukeboy318 ) but he had to work... we couldn't made a plan before to let him know earlier or any guy in IN or OH. I wanted to meet to the guy who got picked up the NOS quarter panel I won on ebay. Still needs to be shipped to FL but is on safe hands ( or I hope so LOL, not right now on Chriss hands )
