I think the front of the new chargers is the part i like most about them. Besides a 69 grille just doesnt look right without a chrome bumper under it IMO.

WingCharger

That is AWESOME! I agree a 69 grille belongs on a 69, but hey I am not complianing! I would buy that asap if it made it onto the market (If I had the money :nana:)! But, two doors is a must! Come on Dodge, at least relese a concept that has two doors to see public reaction! I like the yellow too!

Can any photoshop experts give us this car, but with two doors?

Corellian Corvette

I like the grille, I don't like the lower air dam. That's the part that looks bad IMHO. I'd like to see it more challenger style with the bumper coming down w/o the lower air dam.

ITSA426

The lower air dam on that would be handy up here as a snow scoop.  It looks like a pouty lip.  And I'm one of those that like the new Charger

Well, it looks better than an '09 front end on a '69 Charger.

The actual grille looks a lot better than that drawing.

The guy that made that makes a ton of stuff for the new Charger and he's even modified the fenders to widen them and add in the "door" indents like on the 69 - just in the fender instead of the door...

G-man

I dont understand Dodge.

The challenger has 2 doors yet they cant make the charger 2 doors.

Why is the challenger always the "performance" car and the charger gets run into the ground by becoming "every mans car". Makes me sick.

Shakey

Wanna know what makes me sick?

I'm gonna tell you anyways - going 'round in circles rehashing the same thing over and over and over again.

I see the point of the thread, the old style grille on the new Charger but geesh folks, give it a rest.   :puke:

4 doors = not a charger.
not with a hemi, not with the r/t signature, NOTHING!
the 4th gens are more charger than these sedans with the charger name slapped on them.

Think back to the 2nd-gen Charger's original introduction to the world.

Think back to "Bullitt."  Remember the two hit-men in the sinister big black sporty sedan.  Remember Steve McQueen in his nimble little coupe, looking totally outgunned matching up against this larger new foe.  Remember the chilling vibe of the sight of that Charger during early minutes of that chase, when McQueen was the one being hunted.

Face it --

If this scene took place in a cool cop movie today, the hit-men's sinister big black sporty sedan would have been a 4-door car.  This is probably true whether the car they used was a Dodge, an Audi, a BMW, or anything else on the market today.

I feel the same way....lose the chin spoiler/wing on the front

Leave it alone.  Let the new Charger make a name for itself.

Corellian Corvette

The only thing that's kind of irksome is they can make a whole new 69-style grille for the new Charger, but we can't even get a decent reproduction of the original!!  :brickwall:
