Vin tag and fender tag question.

Hello all. I know (thanks to this site) that the the numbers on a 68 Charger's VIN and fender tag are not intended to match each other. I just purchased a 1968 Dart GT and was wondering if the same thing applies to this car as well because the fender tag and VIN do not match either. Thanks for the help guys.
