Since I am coming into a few motors, how hard would it be to swap a 392 HEMI into my 73 Charger that has a 400 in it now? Anything drastic? Bad idea? Any help would be cool. Thanks.

bad idea...      custom mounts, headers....     rough - you'd be better off swapping in a newer 5.7 or 6.1 and it would be around the same $$$

Wow really? That sucks...HAHAHAHA

But it'd be a cool challenge and remember, if you decide to go with a 5.7 or 6.1 you still have to go out and buy an engine.

The mounts do not bother me. I can make those here at work, but the headers would be some trouble. I know I called one person years ago and they said they charged $3000 for a set of custom headers. That would not be for me..HAHAHAH

Its probably just as hard to put a 5.7 or a 6.1 hemi in there. If it were a choice I would for sure go with the 392. :Twocents:

if the mounts dont worry your then go with the 392...
