After I bought a new engine harness from Jack's I realized there is no wire for the Tac (Rallye with Tic-Tac-Toc). The old harness had a splice into a coil wire. YO sells a harness for this (seperate harness). Did the original engine harness (NOS) have this included as a single unit?

Nope...tach was optional hence the optional seperate harness...

I just recieved my YO Tic-Tac-Toc harness. I needed the engine side harness (I got the dash side). I just replaced the engine harness. Did the original engine harness include this? Does anyone know who sells this? Or do I need to splice into my engine harness?

The harness should be one piece....its only 3 wires IIRC

The engine side wire goes out through the supplied grommet through the firewall.  This wire connects to the neg (-) side of the coil.....

So the originals just had a loose wire running along the firewall up to the coil? I spliced mine into my new engine harness (coil wire) and rewrapped it. It just didn't look right.

I think I got screwed on my Tach YO harness. The fuse wire is about an inch to short and the coil wire is to short. Its like they thought the coil was on the back of the motor behind the carb.

Anyone elses like this?
