sorry no pics right now... will search for some, but will try to make a description.

bracket with light hides inside the dash frame and fit with a phillps screw bolted throught the dash frame. Screw threats fit on bracket on one of the holes., letting just visible the switch and knob itself.

Then lettering bezel is bolted down the dash frame to the other hole of the switch assembly bracket. The bigger hole on bezel is to let fit the screw what get fit in place the whole switch assembly. the smaller hole is the one to keep the bezel in place

Original placement for the rear defrost switch is the middle one of all the three provisions down the dash frame

I hope these pics will be good enough... courtesy of last426 ( Kim )

as you can see, the compete switch assembly hides inside the dash frame, and then just the bezel fits below the dash frame

thanks - that helps alot - the only difference is that i have a blue light that needs to be screwed onto the dash too.  the blue light goes on when i turn on the rear defroster - i need to find out how that is screwed onto dash.  now i can put it back together this weekend - i just need to buy the repair kit for the lines in the window - i hope that works out - it looks pretty easy to repair the lines - the color is slightly different in the repair kit - it looks like from the factory they were black - the repair kit looks brownish orange - maybe i can put some kind of black dye in it.

Looking forward to pics of what it is you actualy have there!  Nacho done good realizing you have
the glassmounted filament defroster!

My blue light is in a silver bullet with an orange wire attached as seen above.  It doesn't mount
to the dash; but rather mounts to the switch & shines down through the square hole in the dash
onto the label plate above the switch handle.

Again, looking forward to info on your setup!

but they are too much technical, not too much descriptive, like earliers with plugs and cavities location.

Plug numbers code needs to be decoded. I just know the fact that CE2 is bulkhead and also decoded some other around LOL... but the cavities   :scratchchin:
