Yesterday went to my club's annual show and drag races. Sold my Charger last week at another show and the new project isn't ready for the road so my son and I were spectators only. I wondered if I'd see the old car because the new owner is about 50 miles away but didn't seem to be type for car shows. When we got there a couple of friends came up to say that there were some strange people getting in and out of my car(nobody knew I had sold it). The new owner is very happy.

some pics of the racing.

1. The Dakota is running the original 318 from my Charger (swapped it in and has only changed the intake and carb)
2. Friend from Sudbury, car has a rather large Hemi in it.
3. Another 73 that runs very well

Here's some novelty items

Wheel standing backhoe and last ones are jet cars at night

Nice.  A wheelstanding backhoe is definitely one I haven't seen (and they say innovation is dead in drag racing exhibition acts).  What dragstrip is that?

That last picture really looks cool :2thumbs:

I thought the surrounding countryside had a somehow familiar look to it.  I'll be passing through there in a few weeks on my way to Port Loring.
