At about 6:05 in to the video they do a bit on Team Angrier.
I like how Mike ignores the guy calling his engine a 383. Listening to it, someone says 440, but then Mike says "stroker" and that's when the guy says, "So, it's more like a 383." Bowtie guy perhaps?

Apparently not...     there's the fly in the ointment or whatever cliche' you'd prefer.

Well it sucks.   Sorry Mike.          I'm not down on him...   it was great to see the project thru.    Better luck next time 

In the 20/20 hindsight dept...   well maybe they'll get room for a spare for next time... or like what some of the other big money teams do and get a team chase van with some parts.

Certainly the wheels are / were a point of contention with some folks.     All I can say is that perhaps if it was a commercially available set of wheels and tires it might have been easier to secure a replacement.    Being as they were custom... well...

It was always frustrating to try to make the clueless passerby understand the concept of a stroker motor. I don't miss that. I eventually just quit trying and would respond with, "318".

In the 20/20 hindsight department, there was a 155-90-16 Jeep compact spare in the trunk of that car when I sold it to Mike. Whether or not it would have cleared those brakes I don't know, but I'm certain it could have fit through that dinky Daytona trunk opening. Where to stick the flat would be another challenge.

Not a lot of tire stores where they broke down. A more common tire size probably would not have helped.

We'll get 'em next year.

Where they were was not a public highway, they were on the Blackfoot Indian Reservation.......its a different NATION (they have their own rules, laws, and tribal police/courts).

It's good to hear they are being responsible and not breaking any laws.

WOuld have had to have been over a 15" wheel and not sure how much the trunk was packed    Sure seems like a good idea in hind site.... however, dont think on the SHOW bullrun they had any tire issues may have tought the same here?

hell man..strap it to the roof! I am no ralley pro, but it seems you'd want to take as many vital spares as possible? When i go out in the desert with the enduro bikes we take plenty of crap and its saved our asses multiple times.

There are a lot of folks that don't carry a spare and put their faith in AAA. Most of those folks have been very fortunate in the past.

Me? I've had enough road hazzard issues that I alway make sure I have a good spare if I'm going to be far from home.

With the the Daytona small trunk opening, and non-stock rollers he was using, a full size tire was probably not an option, but there are some alternatives out there. You just have to scrounge the junk yards looking through trunks.
