What Do I Need To Buy When Getting Brakes?

I am getting new front brakes for my car. What do I need to buy.
If I but a caliper do I need to buy a piston,or anything else?
Same with a master cylinder, what else do I need to buy besides the MC itself?

calipers are usually sold as complete assemblies - master cylinders are the same as well...    calipers, hoses, master cylinder, pads

I agree - and on the 73 + rebuilt calipers I got from NAPA, they came with the Copper washers and new slider pins!
Just be careful you dont brake the brake lines at the master cyl - the Mopar fittings there are a bitch to find... at least here.
