Man, that car looks great! :drool5:
Who took the pics then, the truck driver?

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Nope I asked the seller to take some pics. He drove the truck with both cars from Scottsdale, AZ to Long Beach, CA.
I bought this Charger on 15th of May and hope to pick 'er up somewhere in August.
Hopefully before our anual 'American Power on Wheels' held in my town. Car show with 2000+ American cars!

That is a beautiful car, beautiful color. My father had a '72 that color with the Topper package. White vinyl roof, 15" Rallye wheels, hidden headlights, 400 4-bbl, 150 mph speedo...got lucky in it, Prom 1983, most notably.. :icon_smile_big: TMI? Congrats on your purchase...very sweet...

Hey, right-on.  ;)  I graduated in '83 myself although the Mopar bug hadn't hit me yet.  But my '77 Trans Am had seats that laid back.  :icon_smile_tongue:

Congrats CB.  Again nice ride.  I think you've done more waiting for rides this year than any driving. :shruggy:

Cool dude, it's too bad you can't rent a C5-A Galaxy to fly the Charger over there. Of course you'd also have to rent the KC-10 that gases up the Galaxy ever couple of hours, & a million $$$ worth of jet fuel. Maybe the wait untill August will just have to do. :D

40 miles away ain't bad. Saving money sounds even better.

I truly hope they don't damage that beautiful car.  My Dad owned a 1969 Charger SE (383 2bbl)  - T7 Dark Bronze/Black Top w/Magnum 500's.   It brings back memories....

Making a long story short it was wearing a perfect showcar paint job by 1970.  The car looked stock except for a super shiny, mile-deep, T7 bronze lacquer paint job.  For weeks, Dad spent his every bit of his extra time after work laying down an arrow-straight lacquer paint job on his nearly new (1 year old Charger).  To drive this car on the street you had to be sick.....but it was a daily driver.  He was afraid to park or drive the car anywhere, because it could get damaged.  (this is the MOST important POINT)!

Flashback to 1971, Mom and Dad are getting ready to leave for a wedding.  I was 3 or 4 years old sitting in the drivers seat while parked in the driveway ....waiting to captain Dad's ride!!  Luckilly, he just went inside the house for a moment  ..... uh oh!

Naturally, being a 69 SE it had bucket seats and a console.  I shifted out of park but couldn't reach any pedals....most importantly the brake!  We rolled down the driveway, for about five seconds ....ghost-riding a Charger...... that was to straight, to shiny, and to perfect to be driven - or left alone in a parking lot!  :'(

My older brother couldn't get into the driver seat fast enough to steer clear of the street lamp pole that we hit.  I knew (we) were in trouble when the neighbors came running out!!!  Remember that lacquer paint job??  I damaged the bumper, rear valance, and right quarter panel extension above the tail lamp.  It was my first car wreck!!  :eek2:

After an emergency session of blending more coats of hand rubbed lacquer Dad's daily driven showcar Charger looking good again.  Later on it got a door ding in a parking lot, then a stone chip in the hood, and a big FOR SALE sign went on it.   He bought a new 1972 Charger SE.

You just couldn't keep a daily driven showcar nice very long with kids!    :nana:

I went over to the warehouse this after noon to check out the Charger.
She is finally out of the container and sitting next to Porsches and other 'muscle' cars.
It's a dark warehouse so the pics aren't of the best quality. Because it was rush hour overthere they just allowed me to go over it quickly.
Good news is that the Brownie survived the long trip without body damage but the downside, she is really really dirty :brickwall:
As soon the agent has it through customs I can go pick her up. Already contacted my transport guy who is on stand-by with his truck and trailer.
Here are some teaser pics. I love the color  :2thumbs: :icon_smile_big:

I think your signature and the photo under your name are awesome.  I have a similar picture somewhere from back in the late 70's early 80's.  My uncle and his first wife both had  3rd gen.
