Hey gang...
Wanted to make sure on this one.... On the hood hinge-2-inner fender attach point, all three of the fasteners had the larger diameter captive washer as opposed the fender-2-inner fender fastener bolt...

PS: Think I answered my own question...............

as a general rule, (but NOTHING written in stone )
Hinge to inner fender are 7/8" washer
Hinge to hood are 3/4" washer
fender to inner fender seem to run primarily more so 7/8" washer

1-1/8"  washer are decklid  / and also lower steering column to firewall  fasteners

A unrestored original 69 Road Runner I just restored had 2 of the 7/8 washer while the 3rd was 1 1/8, it was like this on both sides if I remember right. LEON. :shruggy:

You remember which ones? I too remember them being as such... Isn't the front hinge bolt the bigger 1 1/8 while the rear two are 7/8's?

Ask & you shall receive, Better late then never, Here's a Pic on the Road Runner Hood Hinge bolts & there location & size's which is correct. As you can see the bigger bolt goes at top in back. Hope this helps. LEON

hemi-hampton

Here's another veiw of where the larger bolt went on a original hinge. LEON.

Here's a close up for the Handi Capped. Enjoy :scratchchin: LEON.

P.S. Dodge Don might be Interested in knowing this when it comes time to assemble his Charger?

sure looks like theres 3 different size washers on that there hinge

hemi-hampton

Could be, But if so thats probably the way it came. I'm pretty sure after removing hinges I screwed the bolts back in where they came from & they stayed there the whole time, I did not bag & tag those bolts I dont think. Sometimes I do, sometimes I dont, Depends if I'm sandblasting engine compartment or not, ect. This one being original paint & no rust in Compartment I only sanded, sealed, painted. Nothing major, just a driver, no 100 point showcar. Heres my rear. LEON.

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

Wow, you got a nice rear Hemi!  Oh, that was just wrong.. :icon_smile_blackeye:

Heres a pic of Drivers side Hinge Bolts. I got hundreds of Pics of the Resto on my old computer. If I could retreive them might let me know if I kept the bolts in there through out the Resto Process. It's possible a smaller bolt slip in? Question, Do those Tires make my Rear look Fat :smilielol: LEON.

P.S. you might notice some of the headbolt marking are different, sometimes they come that way, with the GL or boat anchor, or ect, ect.

Either paint them or touch up with brush. I put the hood back on the car because I've been waiting for past 3+ months for Motor to get Rebuilt. Owner sent it to Koffels Place, A Mopar Specialist 9 months ago & motor was suppose to be done 3-4 months ago. I dont think the owner is to concerned with the bolt heads because every time I mention this kinda stuff he sez he dont care because he's going to race the car & beat the hell out of it, He keeps saying I'm doing too good a job & overkill since it's no showcar & driver. :shruggy: Here's a pic of Rusty 1/4. I've seen the car and it turned out great.  :yesnod:  Ted

Reviving an old thread here...I'm putting my '69 back together, and alot of the hardware on it was previously mis-matched. Can anyone please post some pics of the correct hardware that is mounted to the other side of the hood hinges.  :popcrn:
"An aggressive exterior with power to match was enough to pull in the performance boys-especially when abetted by a pair of pipes blaring out the back, and brawny red-sidewall rubber hitting the pavement."

"........the four speed box changes cogs with the precision of a sharp axe striking soft pine."
