Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

max

if the radiator is a factory 26" in width and in good shape with a stock stall speed convertor then i would try it.

i'm going on a poor memory here so someone correct me if i am wrong but i'm thinking the 318 in that year, the bottom radiator hose drops out on the passenger side and the 383 drops out on the drivers side which wouldn't be a very big problem for a 383 since the later (1973-1978) 400 and 440 engines also switched to the passenger side drop.

so it is possible for you to find a later model 400/440 water pump housing that drops out on the passenger side. it is also a plus since the oil filter is located on the driver side and is always a small pain to get to since the early style water pumps drop out on that side and the radiator hose is right over top of the filter.

the top hose shouldn't be to much of a problem coarse you may have to check with your local parts store to see what they can match you up with.
