Credence Clearwater Revival, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Jimi Hendrix, Jefferson Airplane, Strawberry Alram Clock  etc.  It was all current at the time and I still enjoy it once in awhile.

Other than M-105, 101-FM WMMS, or "The Wizard", WSRD, it was all 8-tracks for me in my '69 R/T (it was an aftermarket player that I ended up putting in the '72 on down the road...) :The Godz' first album, and 2nd one, "Nothing Is Sacred", Steve Miller, Deep Purple, Rush, Queen, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Doors, AC/DC, Humble Pie, Bob Seger, Black Sabbath, Van Halen, Blue Oyster Cult, Judas Priest, Bob Welch, J. Geils Band, James Taylor....I could go on and on...I still have a majority of the 8-tracks...what a crummy format compared to what we have now...

Just cruizen last night in the 68 listening to my fathers day gift, a CD player installed in the glove box.  It looks great! and I was jamming to some Janice Joplin, The Cars, and Super Tramp.  Don't believe it is cruizing music per say, just what I was in the mood for.

When I had the '74 back in about '87 I would listen to AC/DC, John Cougar Mellencamp, Def Leppard, Skynyrd, .38 Special.

Today it is pretty much the same with a few more '70s and '80s music thrown in like Tom Petty, Bon Jovi, John Fogerty/CCR, etc.  Skynyrd is still my favorite band to listen to while cruising. :2thumbs:

You can add Aerosmith, Steve Miller Band, and ZZ Tops to the list. I have most of all the old music on CD now.

When I was driving the charger, it was pretty much 80's music.  Heavy metal, hair bands, some pop but mainly metal of all sorts.

Well lets see here. Before I got my FM converter I could only pick up Que Pasa Radio so I would ride around blaring the spanish tunes. Man did I get some weird looks. Now that I have the wonders of FM radio I usually listen to 100.3 The Buzzard or 96.1 WBBB. They play everything that rocks apparently. If I had a cd player Id be listening to some Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, Priest, Dio, Etc. Ahh maybe one of these days.

By the time your car is done, we will all be living like The Jetsons.  ;)

But seriously, George Thorogood, AC/DC, Heart, Billy Squire, ZZ Top, Run DMC, Ratt, Scorpions, Van Halen, etc.

I was an 80's driver.

I never had anything more than the factory AM radio in the Charger. I prefered the sound of the cherry bomb exhaust I guess.

Back then when driving my Ramcharger I liked AC/DC, John Cougar, CCR, Guns N Roses, and AeroSmith.

Over the last decade Johnny Cash has been what I listened to most and I still only have AM radios in the Chargers.  ;)
