A friend (yes I have one) just called and said the local Dodge Dealer has a black 2008 Dodge Challenger. We are going so he can order an '09 (lucky bastard) and I am meeting him there in 30 minutes. I should be able to take pictures and hopefully post some later tonight. I'm outta here!  :drool5:

I was on the 401 heading East from London today and saw about three trailer loads of Challengers (97% the rest black) heading West out of the Toronto area today.  No point in trying to take photos as they were going the opposite way and all I had was my camera phone.

I want one I want one I want one! Now that that is out of my system....I am impressed. The car was not in the showroom. It was in the garage area being prepped for it's owner who is currently in Florida. I took as many pictures as I could but because of the cramped area and less than ideal lighting the pictures do NOT do the car justice. Here are 3 for starters.

Doesn't have a push button start, kinda looks like it from the pics. It's the new remote/key receiver that plugs into the the 'key cylinder' which is just s dock for the key. They are pretty neat. In the event of a dead battery a metal key can be pulled out from the top side of the remote, which hides nicely when its locked in the remote.

Nice Pics.

I like it in black  :2thumbs: The dealership here just got an orange one. It was sold for 10 grand over. :brickwall:  I was sitting talking to the owner of the dealership, when in walked the buyer of the new Chally. It was the guy I bought my Chally from. I just hope he doesn't work on that one.  ::)

Some observations.  The car was in need of prep. Dust all over. The interior looks gray in the pictures due to the flash. It is black. Top to bottom. I sat inside when the mechanics, salesmen, and the manager went back inside the display room with my friend. It is dark inside. Like a coffin. Black headliner. I was happy as a clam in there. Definitely tint the windows on this puppy. The salesman started it to move it back so we could get shots of the front end. It sounds real nice! It also has a sunroof and I think the only option left off might be the GPS/Sirrius entertainment system. It is the first one they got in. Two more are expected. Both Hemi Orange. The price is $41,095 in case the window sticker is unreadable. The last picture is of a printout the salesman showed my friend. It is for ordering (?) a 2009. Only color addition was Tor-red. One SRT auto. Three R/T 5.7's and an SE V6 at $25,500. It didn't look like you could check off anything. They showed you what "they" ordered and you picked from that. My friend looked at me and I said to him to tell them they are not the only Dodge dealer around and if possible have them look at other inventory for what he wants which is  a 2009 Hemi Orange 6 speed manual. I'm sure we will see plenty of them in 3 weeks at Carlilse. Later!

My friend wrote me this morning and said he ordered a Tor-Red one fully loaded. He was told that if the order is picked up soon enough he may have it by September. We'll see.  I hate him!   :flame:  :D

Nice. I never knew that, my mistake. That's just badass then! Thanks for sharing. Another plus in my book for this car then. :2thumbs:
