Do soft radiator hoses (upper/lower) with car running indicate a pressure or flow problem? On my 69 GT500 the hoses are very firm. I changed the thermostat without change. The radiator is a newly recored 956 26''. The car (440) does run a little hot (190) using a fan clutch. I can see flow thru the radiator with cap off while its getting up to temp so I beleive the water pump is working. Could this still  be a water pump issue or is this normal? Thanks

Try a new radiater cap and see if pressure builds up.

Two brand new a caps, including an NOS small rivet cap (16#) no eveidence of any leakage. I just changed for looks.  No collapse on the bottom hose either (I heard Mopars have a tendency for the bottom hose to collapse). No significant changes whether the car is running or not. Thanks
