I have a 73 Charger with mostly flattened leaf springs. What are my options? I just replaced the wore out Air shocks with some regular shocks. Only because I want a decent enough ride. Would those helper springs work to fix my problem?

Any help would be great! Thanks.

terrible one

The only real solution that isn't a band-aid would be to either have the springs re-curved, or to get a new set, in my opinion.

why not buy new ones ?

71/72 are the same with MINOR but easy to save differences:

-Thicker rubber bushing. Outside diameter is the same, juts inner diameter is smaller on lates 73s and 74s with a small bolt, making thicker cushion, but that will depend if you have bigger or smaller front hanger bolt. some 73 were built with same 71/72 bolt. If new springs came without bushing, just need to get the propper one.

-Larger guide stud with bushing to cushion pad isolator. Just need to move your actual stud setup to the new spring. MAYBE enlarge a little bit the hole. I THINK 71/72 studs are 5/16". 73/74 are definitelly 3/8". piece of cake. Regular drill will make the job.

The only thing I've bought new for this thing is the oil! No actually I'm making it a driver because it's just not worth putting that much into a regular 73 Charger. I've only got about $2k into it and that includes the car itself! Most people would have junked this thing but I've really lucked out on all the parts I've found. I plan to have it finished by September when the lease is up on my POS dodge caliber. Just wanted to make sure there wasn't an easy quick fix that someone has come up with out there.

How flat?  A lot of them are fairly flat when new.

Well with brand new shocks installed they look like this with 215/70 r15 rims. Don't mind all the rust! And in the second pic the axl is only about 6 inches away from the bumber stop.

I THINK rearch springs against new... well, would need to get quotes for the rearch job, but if price is similar, go for new ones
