Who makes a decent 3/8 varible-spd. drill?

I have f(*^&*&^* had it  with Sears Crapsman junk. Snap-On is good, but no dealer anymore. Anybody had any experience with Lowes' Kobalt stuff?  Thanks

    I too have had it with the garbage that is built today. Do you notice that in order to help sales the companies are naming the tools after some type of weather phenomenom rather than just build the damn tool properly in the first place. I am in construction and am so sick of the increase in tool cost, correction, decrease in life span (like about a few months) that I am scrounging the yard sales for the old stuff. I cannot see a homeowner wearing those drills out.
    For instance, to answer your question: The old (15 yrs ago) B&D 3/8" VSR Industrial (I still use two on the job today). The old Millwaukee is also very good.

All my small electrics are Milwaukee.  They are a few years old so I don't know about their current product line, ie, whether it's still made in USA or now being sourced from Asia.  I quit buying Crapsman many years ago.  Their stuff was being made by Emerson and I think now by Ryobi in SC.  All junk.  I've heard Makita is good.  Also Hitachi.
