I haven't been here for probably ten years.

There is 37 of us, meetings are done for the day so we're just heading to the lobby bar for a drink or three before we go on a boat tour around the falls.

I see the sun trying to come out but......

That figures, the only one I recognize gets answered right away.

I got married there in the mall by a judge. It's that big multistory atrium that covers one of the streets between two buildings on the NY side. He asked us if we needed a witness, which we did, & he said he knew someone who would stand in. It was one of the janitors there.   :smilielol:

You must be talking about the NY side of the falls, lol. The parks on the Canadian side are really nice. Some of the area is kind of tacky, like the 348 gift shops that all sell cup style pencil holders made from cedar that say Niagra Falls on the side, but it's still worth going there to see the falls.

You're wrong - there are LOTS of sleazy motels!  At the same time, there are some very nice ones as well.

As Bob had stated, there are plenty of souvenir shops selling the same stuff to, you guessed it, tourists.  There are two casinos which bring plenty of jobs to the area as well as plenty of feeder businesses.  A lot of decent restaurants and some shopping if that is something that interests you.  The area has really taken a turn for the better.  This is a place that you certainly wouldn't spend a week at however it is a great spot to spend a couple of days to take in the sights and enjoy some time with the family.  About 30 minutes down the QEW is Niagara-on-the-Lake, a small Victorian town which is also the centre of the Ontario wine region.

Either way, I had a good couple of days of there and I have seen that this is a place that I will bring my family to at one point this summer as my girls would love a ride on that boat and would enjoy the view from the tower.  I have heard a lot of good things also about this place, which is heaven for children.
