ignition box

i installed the new orange iginiton box that came with my mp electronic ignition  i installed it on the fire wall tried using self tapping screws but they just stripped out very thin metal there i guess so i used some plastic plugs that i have at work my question is tho is this box suppose to be grounded? i cant really see how since its painted orange  but im having problem with the way it runs and some one sugested after seein it that it should be securely grounded to the car or i may get a weak spark  this make any sence?

yes, ground the box, you could run a ground wire to the block/chassis, but it must be grounded.
