I drove my stock 73  318 Charger into the Garage last month . It emergered this month with a 446 ,eddy heads, rpm intake, headers,Lunati cam . [Mild tork motor.
What a change. The aluminum heads and rpm intake worked great! My 17 year old son has never experienced a  big block before. The grin on his face as it fried the 275 goodriches was priceless!

A few questions:
Is rotella t 15w40 a good choice fo oil ?
I have extra crane cam brake in addative , will it hert to run this after the cam is broken in?
Both holley 750 and edelbrock 800 eps runwell on the car . the eddy drives better (new carb) but after shutting down on 90 degree days  and then restarting 15 min. latter the car will stall if you try to accelerate quickly  untill it has been driven slowly for a few minutes. Vapor lock? how do you tell ?

Congrats on the new build....must be a huge improvement huh ?  :icon_smile_big:

Rotella is fine as long as you use an additive like EOS/ZZDP plus or the Comp/Crane breakin additive....but you need to use something to boost the extreme pressure package.

Vapor lock will cause the symptoms you describe. When it starts acting up again remove the gas cap and if you hear pressurized fumes when the gascap is loosened off you have vapor lock.  :P  Make sure you gas tank is properly vented and use a carb insulating base gasket to reduce heat transfer from the intake to the carb. Make sure your fuel lines are not resting against a heat source like the block or a heater hose.
