I have a 70 charger 440 4-speed I am looking to buy eithier from TTi or Accutate Ltd. Here is my questions My motor is stock except for a litttl bit more cam. I have the factory stock HP manifolds Accurate ltd exhaust package is  2.250 with the original hemi mufflers you can also get another muffler that is a little louder but the guy told me not as loud as a flow master. I am looking for a nice deep throaty sound. Do any of you have this exhaust combo or a TTi exhaust system with the same motor exhaust maifold comb that I have? I really need to figure this out in the next week so I can order one or the other so I can get it before the 4th of July. If any one does have this combo would you mind if I could give you a cll to hear your car run?   Exhausted on the exhaust dilema, Troy

can't help you with the accurate, but i do have the tti 2.5" with h-pipe(440/auto), and i'm very happy with the fit/sound.  Nice deep sound, very slight drone at 40mph, but all in all excellent system, i'd recommend it.   :2thumbs: :D :nana: :popcrn:

stock HP manifolds/440, everything fit bolted PERFECTLY, actually i was amazed, the only complaint i have is one tip was angle cut a little off, but i plan on getting proper charger r/t tips anyways....i'm in canada, so for me it cost more than you if your in the usa, i paid about $650 to my door.....Everything was top notch, new hangers at the mufflers, and at the tips, i'm VERY VERY happy with it.  The whole thing went together like lego, i was really impressed.  TOP SHELF!!!!
the whole thing is mandrel bent, and the pipes went together perfectly, bolted right in, absolutely no clearance issues, just fit like a glove....to me that's worth any extra $$$$$, because i HATE EXHAUST WORK!!!!

So did you get the Hemi mufflers or the other optional mufflers that are louder? And yes I do live in the U.S. In Missouri

Never mind on that last question. That was only a LTD option. I have a 4-speed do you? I am asking because I am told that mine are correct for my car by LTD but TTi does not list them as correct. Mine are p#  2899879 on the passanger side and 2951865 on the driver side. Well TTi list one of them as able to work but I don't remember which one they say is correct. Hope to call them tommorrow. I am thinking the drivers manifold must be diffrent for a 4-speeed vs. an automatic. Thanks agin for your help,Troy

If you are going for the stock look route, go with Accurate with the HEMI mufflers. Nice rumble, not too loud, stock looking.

If you are going for a performance upgrade, choose the TTI system. I have it on my '68 440-auto with stock manifolds & repro stainless "stock" tips. 2-1/2" exhaust, though I chose Flowmaster mufflers. Exhaust resonates at around 40, levels off around 55-60. Other than that, it fit like a glove & is a great performance upgrade.

It looks NOTHING like a stock system, so choose carefully. BTW, I'll be going with the 2-1/2" TTI setup with their headers on my '69. I won't go with Flowmasters again, probably the Dynomax muffs it comes with.

did you install system yourself or it has to be welded at muffler shop?

What's a muffler shop?  :D

Yes, the TTI system all bolts together using clamps. Welding is your choice. Aren't you supposed to be a body man? You know how to weld, don't you?  :scratchchin:
The stock, factory systems weren't welded, either.

Well I will make a few more calls tomorrow. sounds like I might have to go with the accurate for the stock look. Does anyone know anything about How they aluminize the steel exhaust? If I do weld on it will that wreck the aluminizing?

I have Accurate's full H pipe system in my Charger but I had him make me a full 2.5" system out to the tails.  I am also running his Hemi High-Flow mufflers as well and couldn't be happier....

Thanks for the sound clip Just6T9chr Your car sound great. I would be very happy with that sound. So you car is stock motor with stock manifolds? and The exhaust is 2.5 inches from the manifolds to the tail pipes? And you went with to louder mufflers that Accurate makes and not the stock Hemi type mufflers?

Just 6T9 CHGR

fairly stock 9.3:1 compression, stock HP manifolds.  had the orig type Hemi mufflers before but were too quiet for me....wanted to be a bit louder without the Flowbastard drone....
