I was out at Norwalk last night and before they finished with all the exhibition racing that was going on I went down into the staging lanes where they had the 16 cars lined up to go. After they were done interviewing the driver I went over and was talking to him. He is a great guy he has had the car for 25 years and one of his buddy's that was helping him has a 71 Charger as well. The car was definitely running very good for him last night. Heres a few pics from list night of the car.

COOL!

I guess Ken Herring (think that's how he spells his name) is a Mopar guy. So he should like that too.

Man I wish I would have seen that, I am really sick of watching nineteen-eighties and early nineties piece of crap mustangs on that show every week.  ok, I don't watch it all the time, but I don't recall ever seeing any mopar on that show,   glad to hear they had a '68 Charger!!  and they won it!!!     :2thumbs:

Why would you want anything else?  Just give me a Charger and I'll be happy.

I was there, It was incredible! I'll be honest, I had doubts with the 68 vs the last race against the Mustang. The 68 and the Mustang were both running strong, but I was worried about the weight differences between the two. The last 3 out of 3 race was the best, and most suspenseful. The Charger won the first pass and the second pass was the best! I never screamed so loud in excitement! As the Charger Charged down the quarter-mile, the Mustang just sat there, broke! That shut he Ford fans up......... It was great to see a MoPar finally winning! Makes me proud! Cheers Dave!
