stuart, i am thinking i met wayne back at a wellsville, ks car show in 2001 or 2002 and he said he has two more daytonas or something?  is that the case?  I remember him telling me that he found the other two (or something like this) in junkyards in the late 70's when no one wanted them or something... you know the "rest of the story"?

I'm pretty sure that Wayne has 2 other Daytona's and a Superbird, but not sure about them coming out junk yards. I know his 500 is pretty rough though. His silver Daytona isn't in that bad of shape.

moparstuart

he did have 3 daytona at one time just the two now the silver car and the yellow real hemi car not the 99 # car.  The 3rd daytona was a basket case and was sold back when the first mopar boom hit to someone in chicago i think ?  He has a vit c orange six pack 4 speed bird being restore in minnesota . As danny said he has a rough 500 cream color I think been 20 years since i have seen that car out and it was rusty then.  And he has one of each of the ford aero cars also . He is slowly restoring them all.   We just follow him with the hemi daytona #99 on his roll back all the way to minnesota . Will have some pictures for you soon cool following a hemi daytona on the hwy .

There was a 1955 "K" Series Dodge dump truck in the parking lot next to the swap area.  The tail gate on the thing weighed a ton, as the owner and I lifted it so he could put some parts in he bought in the bed.  It had I believe a 270 CID Hemi in it.  He drove it 15-20 miles to the show, IIRC.  He is a member of the truck historical society(?), he had a license plate on it from the truck club.

*"We normally wouldn't use a 383 for this build, parts and labor for a 440 cost the same."

Nice looking old WC!

Todd

yeah he called it the great grandfather of the power wagon !

Father of the power Wagon. The Power Wagon came about from what they did and learned with those old WWII WC trucks.
