Help! Cracked transmission

Well the case of my transmission was bent a little bit and stupid me was hitting it with a hammer to try to fix it  .  It cracked on the bottom of the case where the inspection plate bolts to. Is this going to completely screw me up?  Here's a couple of pictures of it. Crack is about an inch long.  Hopefully I didn't completely annihilate it.

Find the end of the crack and stop drill it with a 3/32" drill.

That part of the bell is often cut completely out for better converter bolt access, so there's no structural worries.
