I know this is a car site. But does anyone here know anything about guitars?

Hey everyone. I had a friend that needed money so I bought two guitars from him. One is actually a bass. The bass is a Squier P-bass which is a lower grade fender and the Guitar is a Ibanez G10. They both sound good except that I suck and don't even know how to play the bass. But I was wondering what they might be worth. I think I might keep the guitar but will probably sell the bass.  I paid $200 for the pair with gig bags and I think I can at least get that back.   I will post pics soon.  Jeremy

Just do a search on eBay completed auctions and find the going rate for the ones meeting the condition of yours.

I looked for G10's and couldn't find one with the drop B bracket. You'll see what I mean in a second. I am posting pics in just a right now.

Do you mean an added Hipshot D-tuner? You will get more if sold seperately.

Nope. It is a Ibanez piece. Here are some pics. I got them at $100 each.

The Ibanez is actually a GAX70 model. They are pretty basic and cheap models. Nothing special about them. To be honest, the Ibanez is probally worth around what you paid for it. They sell for around $200 new depending on the music store selling them. The bracket piece seems like an owner addition.

That particular model of Squier bass originally came in a "players pack" (bass, amp, gig bag, cord and strap) that sold for around $300...again depending on the music store. I'd sell the bass for around $150-$175.

Hope that helps Jeremy.

Thanks Cody. But the Ibanez is a GAX 75 not a 70. I did find one other GAX 75. It sounds good so I'll keep it. The bass, well. I'll probabaly sell it.
