I know alot of you dont like big wheels on a charger but I am planning 20's on the back and 19s on the front of my next project. My question is should I got 22 in the rear and 20s up front or 20s/19s and if so what off set should I do. I want as deep as I can in the rear and the front with out having issues. Here is the wheel I like..

I think 19's/20's are fine.  20/22 are way to big and really look goofy.   Those are nice rims, as for width, guess it depends on your car.  2nd gens tend to have more space without moving springs.  I've seen some people have up to 10" wheels on 68's.  3rd gens have much smaller wheel wells.

sorry I didnt say its a 69 charger.

Everyone here has their own opinion on wheel sizes & looks. "Most" members (& I use that term loosely), seem to like the "traditional" 15" wheels on these musclecars.

I like them all, as long as it's done in a tasteful manner. There is a line of being "overdone."

To me, 20"s are pushing the limit of looking goofy. You better have the car sitting low to "hide" some of the upper area of the wheel if you go 20"s. I like 19"s on the rear, & 18"s on the front. Still big enough for a modern look, yet not goofy or "bling" looking.

If you have any doubts on wheel size, do some research & check out cars with different size wheels to see which diameter you like.

Check out their "wheel visualizer." Very handy when it comes to picking out wheels!  :2thumbs:

Thanks so much. What I had planned was a set of vectors or charger 500 wheels to drive to the track with and a set of 19" and 20" wheels to cruise around town with and make it look more modern. I want it to look real agressive kinda like what foose does. The car isnt matching number so not messing up a perfect car. I really want something in black with a polished lip and really deep in the back :drool5:

Leaning toward a more classic style too..

I would go NO bigger than 19"s - I feel anything bigger than that and you hurting your performance. Wheels make the car so choose wisely young Skywalker... choose wisely....  O0

it took me awhile to get used to the whole oversized wheel thing. Someone on this site said anything over 18 is too big and i agree. while i wouldnt go bigger than 15's, i have seen some cars done right (keepat and NYCMILLE are good examples) its a matter of getting it to look right  :Twocents:

I would say that 18 is biggest you should go.
Have seen some with 19´s that looks good too, but i still think it is on the big side of what looks right on a Charger.
But Mike says it  clearly! it can make the looks of the car, or destroy it!!
I am going with 18´s front/rear

Since we only live once, and all this is not just a dressed rehearsal, but the real thing............ Well, enjoy it!!!!

They run nicely :2thumbs:  Since I put the wheels on the car in August I've put over 400 highway miles on it and I think they ride well, though they make more road noise than my old BFG T/As.  Just make sure you get enough sidewall.  45 series on the rears is just right, I'd go 50 series on the front using my setup for a slightly taller tire.  I got the Nittos primarily because they were 1 of 2 manufacturers who made a 295 wide 18" tire for a reasonable price and with a tall sidewall (45).  Everyone else only goes up to 30 or 35 series and that's too skinny IMHO.  My rear tires are just over 28" tall.
