Cast crank vs. Forged crank...do I have to change torque converter (TQ)?

I was thinking about my engine swap and reliazed my old engine was a cast crank and I think the transmission TQ has weights on it. With my stroker kit and forged crank can I still used the TQ? If the TQ is specific to cast/forged can I just "pop" the weights off?

as far I know should it be enough remove the weights, But I think will need to be CAREFULL to keep smooth the surface and then again 0 balanced.

Dunno if the welding points will affect enough to don't get the 0 balance back . Maybe CUTTING the welded area at weight, not at TQ and then grinding the welding point at TQ with care ?
