So does anyone know for sure what the VIN is on the car that is being advertised so it can be flagged for future notes? Or has anyone tried to contact the seller? I can't get the pictures to upload on Ebay currently so can't view anything except for the typed out description.

I followed the picture URL to his homepage... he is on AOL and has exceeded his allowed bandwidth:

It will start working early tomorrow morning... until the bandwidth limit is reached again.

Just curious Dave, but who confirmed that it was the car being discussed? Email from seller? Or photo of the Fender tag? Photo of the dash VIN?

Old Moparz

Bidding is over $5000 now & the reserve still isn't met.

Someone is definitely buying a VIN tag & papers since there isn't anything left to repair. The interesting part though, is that if the car is "repaired" (tags swapped) with a "donor" vehicle, how would you actually prove it wasn't repaired?

Dave's right, with the green AAR it's bookends & not a coffee table.

Taken the fact I read it and looked into the wrecked daytonas motor and trans from the ad when it was in MCG.Which was in NY and car has a Cicero Dodge NY dealer badge on this wrecked daytona and shiplist confirms that Dealer in NY.And getting a yes reply from seller is this that car from the old ad I refered to.I never seen fender tag or any other documentation..I would tend to believe this car is the same one

Looks to melike this car was pulled from the crusher before it was completly crushed.  As many of you have said before... this is about the only real daytona I could ever afford.  This is crazy.  I can see that the car was originally the darker shade of green with green interior.  Wonder if the car originally came with a white or a black tail stripe.  Sad sad sad!  The AAR Cuda looks just as sad!  But at least you can tell what it was from a distance.

It appears to me that there is white underneath the black stripe that you can see in the cracks.  But maybe this is just the primer, but i dont think the primer would be that white.  So i will start off the guessing with White Stripe.

Man, that's one wadded Daytona! :'(

Looks like the trunk pan is the only halfway straight thing on the whole car.

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

would be intresting if it was possible to find out how it was  wrecked & if the driver made it ! as looking at the steering wheel shape & seat  :rotz: not good .  was the roof removed to get the driver out even ? :shruggy: perhaps  could do a owner search from the vin or  local police records of the accident ?? :scratchchin:  , if  location known  :shruggy:
that 69 Daytona has  got a story to tell  for sure  :popcrn:
