Got some questions.....

How come I can't buy it at the local Autoparts stores ?

At $10/qt for 20-50W racing oil, maybe not enough people buy it?  That'll add up to a $100 oil change after each run   :icon_smile_blackeye:

Ok, so the test results published by AMSOIL say the stuff is good. Can anyone point to independent testing thats shows the stuff is "$10/qt' good?

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

Amsoil will not be sold in national chain part stores. You are more likely to find it in a independently owned auto part store.

The 20W-50 retails for $8.40 a quart (plus tax and freight), you can sign up as a preferred customer ($20/year) and and you would pay $6.30 a quart (plus tax and freight).

Preferred Customers buy AMSOIL products at wholesale prices. The discount price is 15-25% less than regular retail prices.

Product Code: TROQT-EA, 20-50W Synthetic racing oil is listed at $10/QT. The std synthetic 20-50W is $8.40. The preferred customer program looks like a good way to save coin up front, though I'm not that by the time you pay shipping, etc. that it actually pays off much.  I'll look into it a little bit more. I can't seem to find a dealer within 10 miles.

Thanks for the information and offer of a catalog. I already have one coming.

The TRO retails for $10.00 a quart and would cost you $7.70 a quart as a preferred customer.

That's a pretty good price break. I guess you can only be preferred if you buy online?

I priced 4 gallons and the shipping and "energy surcharge" added $21.77. Suprisingly, they also caught our States sales tax which was another $12.84 - most online businesses don't do that.... which has made online purchasing in WA a reasonable bargain (in the past).

You can call in your order and get the preferred customer sign up 1-800-956-5695  use referral #526904
Unfortunately no tax breaks online for any state. If you have a business and tax ID # you could go that route.
