Went to Mopars in the Park and bought this from a vendor. It is alright, but it has the R/T tailights instead of the Superbee taillights. I am wondering if I should buy a Go-Wing to match it. :icon_smile_big:

Aren't the R/T tail lights an option on the superbees?   I just got back from Mopars in the Park too...it was pretty damn good this year.  What did you think?  It sure was a long drive though.

I thought the turnout was good. I sure did like the extra room. Farmington is a little out of the way though. I think Midwest Mopars is heavy with southern metro members, so it probably isn't a far drive for them. I will probably bring the Bee to the show next year. I thought the vendor turnout was good too. I didn't find anything I needed at the swap meet, but I am not really needing anything. Seemed to be a good mix of A and B body stuff there.

I beleive they were. I meant that they do not match my car. The Ramcharger hood does not match my car either. I have the standard taillights. :icon_smile_big:

I think it took me longer to drive there and back than the amount of time I spent at the show.  I liked all of the new vendors they had this year.

As I understand it, the R/T taillights came on superbees with painted bumpers

I beleive you are correct. If you notice, the Matco car has chrome bumpers. I kept thinking something was wrong. I also looked at a blue Superbee with the Superbee insert. It said 440 Magnum on the side of it. I always thought that you could only get a Bee with a 383 Standard, or a 440 Six Pack or a 426. I just looked in Galens little white book and it shows 26 '71 Superbees were ordered with a 440-4. I probably knew that at one time, but forgot. Guess I am getting old. :icon_smile_big:

I thought the drive was a little long.  Turn out good.  Anybody know if they got hail in the afternoon?

how many miles did you drive? where was this held?

General_01

It was held in Farmington, MN. About 20 miles or so south of Minneapolis, MN. I did not hear if they got hail. I saw on the news later at night video's of the traffic camara at the 35E/35W merge down there and it was pretty heavy rain. Is sure hope they didn't get hit with hail.
