OK here is my tale,
To start off, I had the Mods delete my 1st posting of this, in fear that I would not receive my seat covers.
I place a order with A-1 Canvas for some bucket seat covers. 2 weeks turns into 2 1/2 months. The Owner of A-1, Jeff, tells me a story that he hand makes these covers and that he is a one man show and to wait, however long it takes, like it or not.
I receive my order, after no replies to any e-mails. I caught him on the phone 2 times. I was bothering him and he did not have time to deal with me....... :icon_smile_dissapprove:
The seat covers arrive, the shipment is from Legendary Interiors. The invoice state seller is A-1 Canvas &  ship to my adddress. I was lied to in e-mails and on the phone. Please do not lie to me. Tell me the truth that you area wholesaler & that you may have to wait until your order gets completed  & that the covers are made by another company. I would have understood, just tell the truth. Jeff saved me $, but the misleading advertising on E-Bay really has me feeling like a chump. Maybe he makes them for Legendary?
The members that posted on the deleted thread were correct, dropped shipped covers from Legendary would arrive. :icon_smile_tongue:

Now go back & re-read his post   s l o w l y  ...  and imagine yourself in the same situation. You would be a bit peeved too after that much time has passed. ::)
I'm sure he likes his new covers, but the whole experience is bittersweet.

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

This is why a lot of companies just do what they like & don't care about customer service. They have customers who will take all their s**t from them, not give a rat's ass about it, then come back & buy more.   ::)

I think I bought my seat covers from him also but they arrived fast. They are not legendary brand though.

I don't understand why he told you he makes the seat covers. My experience was similar, but I knew wright off the bat they were being made by Legendary. So I was never concerned about the quality. But it took 8 or 9 weeks to get everything. Jeff has no control over the time it takes.

Did the invoice show you what Jeff's cost was? Mine did. I still saved money buying from him. Just a little unnerving because of Legendary's lag time.

Way back when I ordered most of my interior parts, I bought them from Jeff. My expirience was that Jeff was pretty positive, he had great prices, answered all of my questions, and delivered the goods in a timely fashion. I had one issue with the trunk divider panel and emailed Jeff about it. He promptly returned my email and told me to just keep the damaged panel and that he would send another. In less than a week I had the panel. It`s been almost three years since I`ve done any business with Jeff. I recovered my seats with the Legendary foam and vinyl and they look great. I`m still many months away from installing my door panels, headliner, vinyl top and carpet. I bought my parts from Jeff because I was price shopping and he beat them all at that time. Things may have changed for Jeff because most of what I read about his business is not positive. As far as any interior items go, if I was in the market for this stuff I would do business with Dantes auto parts. I have yet to hear any negative feedback from anyone about Dante. I also have a small Mopar restoration parts business and maybe someday in the future I`ll add the Legendary line of items to my available parts. So far I`m kept very busy with everything I now stock and I will NOT allow customer service to suffer by taking on more than I can handle. In this day and age good news travels slow and bad news travels at light speed. I`ve been growing slow but steadily over the last eight years at building my parts business and repeat customers are worth their weight in gold. I`m glad you finally recieved your parts but feel bad that you had to endure what you did waiting for your parts.
