Luckily, neither car is damaged, and neither is the apartment.  Everything else is a mess.  Half the town was without power untill 2 am last night, some of the town still doesn't have power.  Trees are down everywhere.  I heard that 13 tornadoes hit here, total.  No injuries, at least, but alot of property damage.
Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.  Especially if they have access to the internet.

At least your okay. We were supposed to have strong storms yesterday, but it never happened. Illinois got it all. I think in my part of Wisconsin, were actually behind on rain already this year. We haven't even had any strong storms yet this spring.

Good to hear that you are ok.  I had heard that the town got tore up quite a bit with a lot of trees lost.  How is the UNK campus?  I heard that they had some damage, but no specifics other than that...........

Glad you didn't get it any worse. There's been a bunch of nasty looking tornado related news stories lately, which always leave me thankful that I don't have to deal with anything worse than winds ripping off some shingles now & then.

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Haven't checked the campus out, but I've heard they got hit pretty good.  The fairgrounds is trashed, the big expo building in the center of the fairgrounds looks like a crushed beer can, and I believe a tornado touched down right in the hospitals parking lot.  Ripped part of the roof off of the clinic.

They hit a couple miles away from me. I was able to watch the storm from my backyard and didn't even get rain until the storm moved off to the east. It was crazy how defined and compact the rain line was.

Seems that the damage from the storms was all around us, but nothing really close to us. Very strong winds all night long, and heavy rains, but no damage in any of the neighborhoods around here that I could see. However on the news seems that there was quite a bit not too far from here.

Glad to hear that no one from here had any extensive damages from the storms.
