Went to safeway yesterday to get some food and some cash. I used get cash button at the line and the lady at the counter mistakenly gave me 25 dollars instead of 20. I told her to take the 5 back that she gave me by mistake and she was so greatful I was honest and gave it back to her instead of just walking off with the extra 5.

Well today I come home and open my mail box and find an escro check return for 150 dollars I had no idea I was going to get.  :2thumbs:

I guess it pay's to be honest in life huh.

Pretty cool. Now I got $ to enjoy my weekend

I would have taken the $5 and ran,
and would have gotten an unexpected BILL in the mail!

That's my luck!

Karma...good is rewarded with good, I'm a firm believer.  :yesnod:

Oh & don't worry, next year, they'll up your mortgage payments to cover the unexplained escro shortage they had from this year. :icon_smile_tongue:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

I've got a buddy with a 14 year old son.  A while back he finds a 20 on the ground at school. Youth right? T
he guy turns it in. My buddy gets a call from the principal to "Talk about his son" he thinks it's bad, but he just wanted to tell him what a good kid he had.

He's a typical Teen Ager, but the kid LOVES cars and he is CRAZY about 64-67 B-Bodies!!!!! And he really is a good guy!

He rode with me to my Mopar club's meeting last time, and I bought his breakfast. I surely Don't mind at all, I believe he will turn out a great young man.

OH and he DID get to keep the 20, nobody ever claimed it.

Good for you Kelly

I once had a bank give me a $100. to much when I cashed my pay check, and when I told them that I wanted to give it back, they told me they don't make mistakes (in a snotty way). So, I kept it.

I thought the same thing when I read that. :smilielol:

I do believe you would've received the escrow check regardless but I salute you for being an honest man.
Honesty will pay you in more ways than cash rewards.  It just plain feels good to do the right thing. I always said, if I win the lotto, everyone I know will have money.

I remember once I was at Kings Dominion Amusement Park in Va a loooong time ago with my sister and her friend.  Looked down and saw a folded up bill.  Picked it up and it was $100.00.  I asked a bunch of people in front of me and back of me if it belonged to anyone.  To my surprise everyone I asked was honest and said nope, looks like it's your lucky day young man.  So I bought as many tickets as I could with it and gave them away to a few people behind us.

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?
