My brother has a pretty cool car that he is really thinking about getting rid of but I'm trying to talk him out of it. We honestly don't know the true value of the car. It is a local Drag Car built in the late 60s, early 70s. Has WEEKEND WARRIOR painted all the way down each side. It is a 65 Satellite 2 door hardtop, original 383-4 speed car. Now has a 451 Stroker, 727 TCI Transmission. Dana 60 Rearend. Ran 12.30 1/4 mile last year before he put the TCI Tranny in it. The paint job is OLD and very worn but the car has a lot of local history and EVERYBODY remembers it so repainting it would be a shame. The body, floor pans, frame rails are all rust free and excellent condition. Still has all the trim, lights, etc. Front inner fenders have been cut for fenderwell headers and the interior is pretty rough.

:popcrn: really! I love it! that Gothic lettering style really shows the era too....

:2thumbs: that's a car i'd sure wanna keep,.. maybe restore... a car with that history is pricless...  :icon_smile_wink:
:scratchchin: I'm seeing it with a metalflake roof and matching scoop...

maybe DS440 could freshen it up in photoshop and convince your bro to restore her...  :shruggy:
sounds like it's got all the stuff there to make a great dual purpose R.&T. weekend warrior...
oh, wait...  :scratchchin:

more pics would be helpful...  :D

:iagree: maybe 10k to someone who knew the history

what are you guys thinking?

If you have no vision or creative spirit, you can always fall back on the way the factory did it.

He is thinking around 7k, I am thinking 11-12k. He mentioned MAYBE selling it to 1 person only at the 7k and they were busting down his door the next day pretty much ready to pick it up.

I'd make it street legal and drive it just like it is. Of course with the price of fuel the driving would be a weekend run to the store and that would be about it.  :-\

God must love stupid people; He made so many.

DRIVE IT. DRIVE IT  DRIVE IT :2thumbs:... That would be a very nice car with some stories behind it I am sure.  I would NOT let it go for $7,000.
